The holiday season is upon us & for many this can be a time full of joy, celebration, parties and reuniting with family and friends. But for others, the holiday season is a time of loneliness, feeling overwhelmed, heightened financial concerns, family conflict, and regret & anxiety about the new year.

There are a number of factors that can cause the “holiday blues” such as; family tension, stress, fatigue, unrealistic expectations, grieving the loss of loved ones, too many demands, financial constraints, and the inability to be with one’s family.

In response to these factors, people may develop headaches, ulcers, high blood pressure or have difficulty sleeping. Feeling tearful, withdrawn, over-eating & excessive drinking are also common responses.

An even more significant number of people experience post-holiday let down. This can result from disappointments during the preceding months, unmet expectations & feelings of guilt, loneliness & uncertainty.

The holidays can be a very challenging time & you don’t have to manage alone. I can help you combat holiday stress, anxiety & conflict.
